Askaway Fridays Flash Back

Several fabulous mums, Sonya Kendall from Saving Everyday With Sonya K, Christy Garrett from Uplifting Families and Tiffany Haywood from Mrs. Tee Love Life Laughter and I come together to flash back into the past this week. It was all about fun and going back into our past to remember those days when we were young and still miss but will remember for a long time.

What is #AskAwayFriday? Well...

#AskAwayFriday was created by the amazing Penny from Real Housewife of Caroline County who will again be joining us from time to time, as a way to connect with other bloggers with a great Q & A session of 10 questions and 10 answers, between two bloggers! This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know others while allowing others to get to know you and of course there is also the added bonus of making great friends along the way which is one of the best parts of this online world! Now to welcome our wonderful #AskAwayFriday hosts...

Below are the 10 Askaway Questions from the ladies and my answers:

From Sonya Kendall @ Saving Everyday With Sonya K,

1. What song most reminds you of when you first met your spouse?

That was in the 80s and all of Alan Tam's songs. A popular singer from Hongkong.

2. Taylor Swift's latest album is titled 1989. What do you remember about life in 1989?

Was all about friends first year in the university. I joined this activity in the first year to learn about folk dances.

3. Share one of your favourite pictures from the past.

I knew my husband from 17 years old and this was the first time we traveled to Genting Highlands when we were 22 years. One of my favourites.

From Tiffany Haywood @ Mrs. Tee Love Life Laughter

4. What's one fashion trend from your High School years you wish you never did?

I wore glasses and thought it was not very trendy.

5. What was the year of your first car?

2005.

6. Name one of your favourite TV shows from the 90s.

Friends. It was funny and very popular in Singapore!

From Christy Garett @ Uplifting Families,

7. What was your favourite place to hang out when you were in high school?

I was not allowed to hangout much when I was still in high school. But I remembered my class got together in the house of a classmate during year end or term break. It was my favourite.

8. What was your favourite place to go to lunch in high school?

In high school, we all went to the canteen for recess. Wow, it's so long ago, and it gives me tickles when I thought about where we eat? Pretty much the same every time. Just in the canteen.

9. Did you work during high school? If so, what did you do?

I was lucky my parents supported me till college. I was elated to earn my first pocket money when I gave tuition! I also had a stint of working in a factory with 3 friends, disguising as kids who had low education and needed to support the family when in fact we were all university undergraduates! We applied for a job in a factory manufacturing computer parts. It required us to wear special suit with masks, caps and so forth. We took delight in it and dressed up to pose this "funny" picture!

And one of my questions,

10. Where was your last hangout with your husband?

That was before he left for Chicago for work two weeks ago. We went for a little walk around our neighbourhood and stayed up till 3am in the morning to talk!

It was such an awesome idea from Sonya K from Saving Everyday With Sonya K! Thank you so much and the same to Christy Garrett from Uplifting Families and Tiffany Haywood from Mrs. Tee Love Life Laughter for doubling up the fun!! Hey Jill, it was great getting to know you. Cute pictures. It's funny that you guys pretended to be younger to get a job in a factory.

Thank you for swapping with us. It was super fun to see the different answers. :)

I kinda miss high school. Ops did I say that. Just because then times were different and there wasn't very many responsible compared to being an adult with a family.

Yes, you were so right. Being an adult definitely gives much more responsibility and as a result, we truly grow up..
